Mala Garden Hotel’s restaurant in Siófok offers an exotic atmosphere matching the hotel’s design, where guests can marvel at the magnificent view overlooking Lake Balaton all year round. The international cuisine and the menu is accordingly a composition of Far Eastern, Malay and Thai dishes and flavours, but devoted followers of healthy diets will not be left disappointed either with the wide variety of salads and fish dishes that await them. For those after Hungarian flavours, we have revisited a number of our cuisine’s traditional recipes and are proud to present our interpretations in the menu.

The Siófok Mala Garden**** Superior Hotel has three luxury suites on its top floors, each of them conceived under the aegis of luxury. Each suite is furnished in a style reminiscent of Balinese atmosphere, radiating comfort and harmony, while the hydro massage tubs, the huge LCD TVs, the air conditioning equipment and the comfortable furniture meet all contemporary requirements.
The design solutions of Siófok Mala Garden Wellness Hotel and Restaurant were inspired by the modern architecture of the island of Bali.
Bali is found in the Indonesian Archipelago and is one of Indonesia’s more than thirty exotic regions. Bali is famous for its fine arts, among them dance, painting, sculpture, metal and leatherworks and its unique music as well.
In the Indonesian Archipelago, Bali is one of the last refuges of Hinduism; hence its everyday life characterised by peace of mind, calm and balance. Respect for the ancestors and nature is a focal point of the philosophy of the island’s natives.
This is exactly that particular atmosphere and feeling that guests of Mala Garden or those of the Hotel’s restaurant may experience at the shore of Lake Balaton. The hotel, the restaurant and the rooms too, may be viewed in our Gallery.
When designing Mala Garden Hotel Siófok, the key objective was to recreate the Balinese harmony between nature and living space. Opening the huge folding glass walls of the lakeshore restaurant, the garden and the restaurant melt together, blurring the borderline between inside and outside… And the garden near the shore is an unmatched experience for adults and children alike.
The artistic water surfaces, garden fountains, fish and aquatic plants of Mala Garden Hotel and Restaurant all remind the viewer of Bali. The harmonic interior is completed by Balinese sculptures, white pebbles, vases and other accessories. The creation of large spaces and the natural materials used add to a full experience of the positive energy the surroundings radiate.
Buddhist prayer beads made of a number of materials (e.g. sandalwood, seeds, minerals, bone, etc.) are known as mala, usually having 108 beads. Mala in Thai means “flower”, “garland” or “royal headgear”.
Calm is not up in the clouds; we house it instead!
Siófok today is known as the Capital of Lake Balaton as it is the busiest settlement around the ‘Hungarian Sea’ where the focus is on unforgettable experiences, relaxation and wellness all year round.
Siófok has a special, relaxing atmosphere; it is an independent recreation city that has become a favourite destination for holidaymakers and those looking for entertainment or recreation. Whether in bad weather or in bright sunshine, you will find the right activity here.
Mala Garden**** Superior Hotel Siófok, standing out among the hotels of Siófok and the exclusive restaurant it houses are supplemented by a multitude of shops and rich cultural programmes and sights, be it permanent exhibitions, night clubs, mini scooter riding, sailing or surfing.
Siófok is literally overflowing with festivals and events; the Balaton Season Opening, the Water Tower Festival, the Golden Shell International Folklore Festival (Aranykagyló Nemzetközi Folklór Fesztivál) are only a few of the many one must visit at least once in a lifetime.
Siófok has Lake Balaton’s longest and largest beach suitable for bathing, far better equipped than any other Balaton beach. It is no coincidence that most visitors primarily come to take a dip in the Hungarian Sea.
A number of beach sections suitable for bathing can be found in the city, best known among them is the Golden Shore (Aranypart) stretching from the Free beach nearly all the way to Siófok’s city centre, welcoming bathers along an overall length of 4 km. The exotic Mala Garden Hotel is also found along Siófok’s Golden Shore, directly at Lake Balaton’s shoreline, with its own jetty, allowing the guests to bathe and refresh undisturbed.
Besides the bathing opportunity the city has a host of sights to await visitors: should the weather turn cloudier, do not miss the colourful pedestrian precincts or the city’s main square where one of the city’s most beautiful and most characteristic sights can be found, the Water Tower built in 1912, today functioning as a viewing tower.
Siófok’s fascinating parks shouldn’t be left out either; most interesting among all is Millennium Park: one of the most famous people born in Siófok, Imre Kálmán’s bronze statue can be found next to the Music Pavilion, with more than 30 creations of well known artists located at various points of the city.
Siófok’s port is conveniently close to the hotel where chartered cruises to the neighbouring settlements are available along with scheduled services.
This is however not more than a droplet in the sea: An interesting sight or place of interest can be found virtually anywhere in Siófok to entertain those wishing to relax, reenergise or indulge in wellness, be it the wonderfully flowery public spaces, lovely sculptures or the minor, but all the more exciting places of interest such as the Museum of Minerals.
Whether coming to Siófok for bathing, partying or to visit historic heritage, you are guaranteed not to be bored!
